    I dont! :D

Hoss the reason I asked you who you were is because you were trying to patronise me and talk down to me in the september 11 thread. You were being the hostile one towards me.

    You just completely contradicted yourself.

More content maybe (reviews, news etc). Although I realise that means more work for someone.

I reckon we should bombard new members with private messages everytime a new one signs up. I'm going to try and force comtra01 to post I'll see how it goes.

I Cant actually believe you consider this forum to be the same as sitting in the pub with your mates

This is my point exactly. How the hell are new members supposed to know people, whos mates with who, etc. You should not have to be known on a public internet forum to have an opinion. This is nothing like sitting with mates in a pub, its an open forum. In a debate the participants will often not know eachother but this does not hamper the opinions of speakers - in my opinion, that is more appropriate to a public discussion forum. Hostility is shown to pretty much all new members, often without any reason.

So had i have started a thread saying "hi im mick, im new", then would it be just fine to have an opinion?

Katie - Thats just one example, that wasnt a dig at you. I wont discuss the matter here though.

That is absolutely the only situation inwhich your opinion would be valid. I'm sorry, but you'd have to put it at the start of every post aswell for a while.

 Totally agree mick, this board has a totally different attitude to anywhere else I have been. I sort of like it but really fucking hate it, its addictive. My advice is leave before it sucks you in

Maybe the pub analogy wasn't the best, but they're both social situations nonetheless. I still stand by my point.

And as regards 'Hostility is shown to pretty much all new members', you've been here for no more than a handful of weeks, I can't think of there being any new members at all in that time, never mind new members being treated in a hostile manner (except perhaps yourself :)).

I've been REGISTERED only for a few weeks yes, but i used to read stuff before posting.

I dont think thats a point that you can genuinely argue with, ive seen many others say the same.

No, wasn't arguing with it at all. Just curious as to how you knew.

Fair play - admittedly though, i have used other peoples testments from other threads so perhaps my facts arn't 100% correct.

Anyway i'm not here to argue with people, so i apologize if i have come accross as a bit of a tit at times.

    *offers to shake hands*
