Fact is this place is pretty (well, very) hostile.

New members just get griefed to hell, and get shit like "who are you?" when they try to have an opinion, then told to fuck off, or threatened, or just ripped apart.

If the attitudes of some of the board members doesn't change then why would people bother when there are plenty other boards around where saying "hi" isnt met with a torrent of abuse. (it's actually incredibly sad the way some members go on, and if i'm honest need to take a look in the mirror, have a word, and grow the fuck up).

From my short time here,all i've really seen is petty, pointless and down right immature arguments, and people talking bollocks about how their music is cool and that everybody else is shit, or words to that effect. Not a single thread stays on topic, ever, and quickly decends into just what i have described.

Truth be told i tend to post if i'm really bored but i've yet to find any hint of this "old days banter" that i keep reading about. Can't really see myself hanging around much longer TBH.

I think it's a shame, people need to stop being so petty, then maybe you can think of new members.

I can't blame any newbies for not doing them - girls get grief if they aren't supermodel material, and guys just get grief.

Mind you, a lot of the new additions don't seem to help themselves very much. Coming on and just spouting random rubbish never gets a good reception.

Never one to disappoint an audience- you've come on here and disagreed with a lot of things people have said, and done so without introducing yourself or making any personal posts. If people don't know who you are it's understandably natural to question/slate you. If you were in a pub with a group of mates chatting and someone chimed in disagreeing with your points, or making their own, perfectly valid, opinions then you'd naturally question 'who the fuck's this?'. It's no different on here.

I don't think I've ever responded to a 'hi' post in an anything other than polite manner, unless it's been some GG goon who has made it clear they're only here to be 'wacky' and wind people up.

I say get rid of News, TV, and Frontear. Also get rid of Mixes, lots of people don't realise it's there and post mixes in Music anyway.
