they are huge! They are mainly in the desert though so you are normally ok if you are in a built up area.

My uncle was based in Dubai for a while, they stay in the shade so if you walk past and one gets on your shadow your f*cked as they follow it, my uncle shit himself

cape town, garden route to port elizabeth, up into the karoo and back to cape town, then Johannesburg. Amazing landscapes.......
