the sony's are mint headphones but they are shit build quality they will only last you a couple of years before they break the mechanism is totally shit and snaps.

I'm on my second pair of sony's now think I'm gonna go for the sennheisers they last you a lifetime.

    He's right

HD25's are the only way.........build quality is awesome , you can interchange parts if you break them , sound quality is very very very good and they block out a lot of outside noise

Only downside is the cable is only 1 metre long

DO NOT GET THE SONYS , YOU WILL HAVE TO REPLACE THEM WITHIN 6MONTHS

Pioneer HDJ1000's suffer the same as the sonys by all accounts

Only Sonys worth bothering with are MDR7506 but not sure you can get them in the UK

My mate bought a pair of the Sonys (paid top dollar for them too), and round about the same time i got a pair of Numark HF125's free from DJstore because I bought some shit from them.

Nearly two years later take a wild guess at who's headphones are broken and who's are still working

These things are only worth a fiver too. Decent bass and mid on them but the high end is shit. They're really good for DJing but I'd imagine they'd be crap for production... They're indestructible though, I've yet to break them and they've seen some serious abuse!

I've tried out the seinnheiser pair and that'll be my next buy when my current pair eventually do give up, they're brilliant (and all the parts are replaceable)
