No need to use that sort of infantile terminology whether you're on a message board or not. The term 'wog' is a blatent racist remark. However, I wouldn't call Joe a racist. REPEAT: WOULDN'T CALL HIM A RACIST!! He just needs to chill out (a lot). He always lets himself get really wound up. If he thinks someone is more uneducated than is being objective, he should learn to ignore it or inform us of truths, rather than blowing his top.

Don't quote me on this but, doesn't the 'Stan' in Pakistan translate to mean land?? If so, proof Paki is an a-ok term to use.

oh, i agree entirely, joe does this well, and to those who know how he is and what was actually meant - you can see what he was getting at - however the point that those who are new to here - probably will not, and the use of such terms naturally has to carry a consequence...

and it seems he is the first to fall foul of these rules...

    Good point...

Afghanistan - referred to as "afghani's"
Tajikistan - referred to as "tajiki's"
Turkmenistan - referred to as "turkmeni's"
Uzbekistan - referred to as "uzbeki's"

Kurdistan - referred to as "kurds"

Not sure about Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

Pakistan - generally referred to as "pakistani's" but on the evidence of the above... "paki" used to refer in a non offensive way could be a legitimate description of a person from pakistan?

basically you are expected to remove any racist material. however, in reality the law is to prevent isp's letting webmasters run hate or racist sites, not to shut down messageboards with the odd throwaway slurs.

i would be amazed if any governing body were to try and enforce such a law over a situation like the one on this board, it would be another case altogether if it were to be a combat 18 or a nazi messageboard though.
