I used to think it was OK for a bit of a laugh now and again. Now it seems to have gone all serious and isnt as bouncy as it used to be. I really don't like it now - I think its something you grow out of isn't it?
?!!?!?!?!?!?!? WHEN OH WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU WENT TO A HH NIGHT 2001?!?!?!?!?!? Sorry shorty but your way off the mark... in the words of a million crasher chimps: No Score!
i appreciate that its popular, but i cannot stand it. to me, it has no emotion, its just noise. which im sure a lot of people on this board will disagree with, but im just really praying we dont see promise become a hh club. since i started going, the line ups have changed a hell of a lot, going from tyrant to shokk and rob tissera. if its popular though....
that was glazby @ aftersential and he was hard as fuck  hardest i've ever heard to be honest. HH should be hard. Trance should be euphoric & uplifting. no need for hard trance & hard dance.
Over the past year the scene has been given a good kick up the arse and gladly so. Djs have stopped being so damn safe and have stopped choosing the same sounds and going for a different approach when they felt like it. The problem was people were taking samples of other records and productions and caining them to their death, they tryed to emulate them far too much and that's when things went boring and stale In the past if you didn't have the right equipment you were pretty buggered, but today, people are giving it a go and some of them are bringing through some fresh sounds, Paul Maddox is a prime example, there isn't many constraints today if you want to become a producer and the scene in general is welcoming something new from anyone new wanting to give it a go Hardhouse has the largest fan base and it shows with their support for the clubs when you go there. The scene is forever expanding and extending into different directions, up and coming clubs such as Base, Parvlezvous, synergy, Sacrilege, Goodgreef was small club of the year are forever giving the larger more well known clubs a run for their money. Frantic with its hardhouse academy, convergence and timeless keep the scene down south very entertained. Tidy have started their north and south residencies, they're going extremely well hardhouse is back
well said, but it is a marmite sytlee scenario isn't it... i love it but not all the time, altho it does help me 2get some work done...
Agreed. I'm working through my HH CD's as we speak. Already done both Insomnia 3 cd's, Strange Dave and Dangle CD, and got the Glazby Hardbox CD on now (Mmmmmm.... Techsture! Tune!!!)
my sentiments exactly! hard trance is ok... hard dance is really really pish poor... doesnt know what it wants to be and ends up jus being cack trance: stuff hardwick plays HH: glazby, karim
ME LOVES HARD HOUSE!!! Although I prefer the older stuff when Jule's and Fergie etc used to be the big thing, I still really love it! Has to be hard, and very very evil though, hate this new cheesy stuff.
draw the line between hard trance and hard dance! u cant! so how can u say hard trance is ok, but hard dance is pish poor?? This thread is stupid, there are more hard house/NRG releases in London per week than trance... There are more clubs dedicated to hard house than trance... I dont want to stab in the dark, but i d guess the London Club scene makes up a fair percentage of clubbing in the UK. The last time I heard The Dawn was at GC@ Heaven, where Nick Riley played it at the end, the crowd went mad. Some people really have no clue what they re on about Example, go to www.bangingtunes.com one of the big on-line shops, with a pretty broad customer base etc... 2 pages of "floaty" trance and 9 pages of hard house. And even then some hard house tunes have been thrown in the trance section. Hard Trance has a lot, but even then, a lot of it is hard house influenced.
