The Palace in Sunderland is the best night club in Tyne & Wear.

If I was to start a night off it would be a charver night. It will be a blinding success as long as they have good security..

    Re: Re: Re: the palace..

Apart from Monday nights when the students where up it never used to do well number & £ wise.

So the quads closed it & just opened it in term time on a Monday 4 students.

The peole who like HH should get themselves down there, I mean an all-nighter playing HH with no so called beer monsters must be what you have wanted.

So many Palace memories, when it first opened the bouncers where strict as fuck (shirts tucked in) etc
Its a class venue, and i know my brother goes to the hangar alot and complains about the "charva element" maybe this move will filter that out.

Anyway best of luck with it mate !!!

hiya im a new member on this board so go easy on me, i saw the thread clarky put on the forum and thought i would have my say.
im a HH dj and i have been working for hangar 13 since it first started over three years ago..at first people said that hh wouldnt work in a place like that, to tell you the truth it didnt at first but after a few months of hard work the hh room started to build quite a following, and its not the type of following you are all thinking, charvas, lots of people started to come just cos hh was getting played as no other event else was playing it at the time in the north east.
the crowd that gets in the hh room is quite a lot older than the children that get in the main room.
i personally dont freequent the main room as the makina {spanish techno} isnt my bag at all, in the three years ive worked there you can count on one hand how many times ive been in the main room..
so come on and have a go if your curious it is a good night out even if you stay in room two all night , a good atmosphere, good crowd and never no bother...
    thats all folks ..............

sorry bout the little misshap there...but the answer to your question is,it depends on what time i play for what style of hh i play . if i have an early set i usually play the old bouncey hh off about two years ago you know the off beat stuff,if its in the middle of the night i usually play the anthem stuff like the few hh bootlegs that are doing the rounds at the moment eg the arsonist and the missy elliot bootleg or even the kosheen bootleg.but if i have a really late set i do play the karim and glazby type of hh..hope that answers you question..:D

yes that would be right about lee,he used to play down at the colloseum in stockton when it was a rave club years ago,and he did have quite a following back then and to my knowledge he has an even bigger one now..
i forgot to say earlier that room two in the hangar doesnt only play hh, i myself and my mate darren oz are the only two residents in room two which leaves the door open to other djs who play other styles like hard trance, trance, and even house on the odd occation..it depends on the line up..
