Similar to the conversation I had with Nicky the other night. Habit & the Dig seem to have totally reinvented themselves & doing something different which has kinda pulled back the old buzz & excitement of actually going out clubbing to these types of nights again.

That Venue looks canny special too, should be wkd! :king:

danny, whilst this is totally a mint idea, billing it as the first ever licensed warehouse club event in newcastle is akin to someone designing a round circular thing and then claiming theyve re-invented the wheel and also does a greAT dis-Service to the legions of underground hippy events that have been put on ALBE-IT less polished and more obscure but still licensed warehouse club events in the last 10 years

Since the turn of the century ive been to many such licensed (yes licensed) warehouse events in newcastle ,so how come all of a sudden habit appear to be doing the first....it baffles me

anyway that aside , can we pay on the door as I am imagining this is "licensed" for 499 people

ps: is there also a roped off area for board warriors :)

    Hello Dave :)

We have never been aware of any licensed warehouse club events in last 10 years? If so then big apologies from us to the hippies - could you please give me some examples?

If tickets are still available then yes will be able to pay on door, although at this rate not sure if there will be any left.

There was a warehouse unit that was licensed about 10 years ago if I remember right.. somewhere down near biscuit factory.. Nice's old studios area.. that had regular parties for a while.. pretty sure the guys from Nice were involved in it in some capacity.. or maybe Freaky Dancing.. my memory ain't what it used to be.. some promoter about that time was running it tho

there have been others, but unsure of how far "licenced" went on them..

But that aside.. hats off for sticking your neck out and doing it.. I reckon it will be mint..

Gonna try and make an appearance on Sat after Si's party.

Granty, there is none on sale in town mate, just online. All early birds gone but standard tickets available at RA and Wegottickets.

Went to them near the byker bridge years ago proper techno affairs freaky dancing had something to do with the later ones i remember.

There have been quite a few unlicenced ones over the years always good crack as are farm and barn partys.

The beach partys were awsome a few years ago as well though not on decks, records and amps.

I was that off it I fell down a hole in the ground in the drum and bass area haha.. knackered my shin.. Was mint though, must have been about a 1000 in there after the Tyne kicked out..

when I say over the river I don't actually mean over the river tyne.. just that fucking stream thing outside Tyne that used to be like a magnet when you were spazzed and slipping down the bank..

The freaky dancing ones were good around 2003-2005.

The Polish one behind the telegraph was a belter till all my friends and all the crowd left as it got too cold about 5 and i was left with loads of poles demanding i played techno till 8am on my own in a cold warehouse with 2 mates left.

I went to that one, remember police stopping it? Helicopter etc

Been to a few others as well, vaguely remember being in one round back of telegraph area / quayside area too. None of these were licensed like.

Not licenced round there great bulilding a basement got done and the route in was lined with candles had a bar area built into it as well. Great untill 5am everyone left and i was forced to play on my own under the fear of violence from some of the poles who did the door and bar, frozen scared and playing british murder boys till my mates reappeared and we could leave.
