i agree like, guthrie's was worse, however as the rules stand Chelsea should not have even been able to appeal if the tackle was deemed to be bookable at all. it was definitely worth a yellow.

i have already said that i dont condone what guthrie did and that it was well out of order, but so is Terry getting let off - its more the fact the FA have undermined the referees authority by revoking the ban, now its only going to lead to more grief for refs everytime they make a big decision cos players have seen 1st hand if they kick up a big enough fuss e.g. publily questioning the refs decision and having there club appeal, they are capable of getting off with it

    aye.
Terrys was blatantly a refereeing error to give a red - if that was a red then there are red card challenges made in every game, week in, week out in every league in the world. That was a yellow card all day.

Guthries on the other hand was fucking shocking, not just saying that because hes a mag either. The ball was away from Fagans body and he went flying in and kicked him square in the legs, after having a first attempt fail moments earlier. He went in to injure the lad with intent, and for that he should have had a minimum 5 game ban.

Moyes has been charged with misconduct.

Fair enough he shouldn't have had a go but the ref gave a pen and only went to talk to the linesman to see if the lad who hand balled it was pushed then gave a free kick?

Decision was shocking Moyes shouldn't have reacted like he did but it was about 2 years in the box so how it can be a yard outside is a joke.

Some of the FA's decisions are just a joke. There's these ones and then you go back a year. Guthrie can have 2 goes at a lad and break his leg but Alliadiere cant even basically tap Mascherano on the cheek having been pushed by him anyways without having his ban upheld and having extra games.

They need to sort out the whole disciplinary thing.

but if it should have been a yellow Chelsea shouldnt have been allowed to appeal. the red should have stuck. dont get me wrong, i'm pleased they did as he can now help knack the mancs but the FA need to sort out the rule book.
