    after i finished reading that i couldn't help thinking it was part of some elaborate scam. £50,000 in legal fee's for visiting a website, booking up for a holiday, then a routine stop at an airport? fuck that. I've been asked to play in Dubai a couple of times now, they seem to be as dodgy as the Russians! - which, no offence to any Russian's out there, but 'we'll pay you after the gig' doesn't really cut it with international airlines :lol:

    that is daftly harsh. how the hell can trace amounts of drug in a persons system count as 'drug possesion'? it would be a bit more realistic if it was amounts large enough to still be causing effects to the person but otherwise, what the point?

    I think its about more the way you look in Dubai. My Dad travels there often on business, and he looks respectable (which is more than can be said for his sons). He has all sorts of medication with him for his epilepsy and takes hemp seed oil supplements. He's never been stopped. If you look slightly off field (lets face it, that chinese guy in that story does, and he's a self confessed pillow biter, not exactly something the arab world look too kindly on), then they are gonna hassle you. In other words, if you look like these two, you are fucked

    i'm not going to dubai, at all. i dont look like the most normal of characters at the best of times.

    and regardless of what he had on him, what good would a drug test do? even if he'd been caning any sort of drug and it came up on the test - could they arrest you for being a naughty boy out of their country. the authorities musnt have much to do if theyre arresting people for having over the counter sleepers.

    and looking at that site further:

    fuck me man, they just hate tourists, plain and simple 1/100th!

    you couldent even see that with the naked eye on a white peice of paper!
