Im pretty sure Marky told me that the opening night of his night is May 12th, it all makes sense now if he's organising this GG night. So Askew will be on opening night :D

This could be a very good thing for trance in newcastle like, there is definitely a market for it, and i think the Cosmic Ballroom as a venue is around the right size for it. With GG behind it means they will be able to attract decent names, and if the 2 that we do know of are an indication of the DJ's theyre going for then this night could really take off

That is....... providing they leave the :monkey: hard house :monkey: in Middlesbrough :p

They shouldnt be too pricey for these nights like, im assuming they will only have 1 guest on because of the size of the venue.

Should probs be around £7/8 imo, though im not that bothered as long as the tunes & atmosphere is decent

well if goodgreef is starting a monthly do, twisted logic back soon and "toxic promotions" also looking like they're booking trance djs, can only mean good things imo - nice bit of competition, hopefully it won't get as low as bitching about each other etc...

    i personally cant wait

Being a fan of trance music is one thing yeah - but if you want to purely look at it by numbers ... yeah theres more chav's per 100 people with a trance night than there is with slower less 'mainstream' sounding types of music.

I love trance, and im not afraid to say it (if its actually any good - which is hard to say these days) but lets admit there were some seriously chavved up nights at promise towards the end.

In Newcastle maybe that is the case, though that says more about Newcastle & the north east than it does trance in general.

Go to somewhere like Passion and you will find a different story entirely. Their 11th birthday last month was the best night out ive had in last 18 months easily, lots of excellent young DJ's rather than just the 'same old' you see everywhere else, reminding everyone how good trance music is when its done right, and a packed club with not a burberry top in sight.

Looking forward to going back down there in May :king:
