£5000 is alot of money at 19 yrs old!

i got a loan for £6000 but it was used for meaningfull things - car, insurance, tax, wheels etc.. which i use everyday.

i have the same set up more or less your after (again), i've been dj'ing for nearly 7 years and no further forward. i dont mind tho because i only class it as a hobby.
all they do is seem to collect dust, i hardly evr use them.

    (is it really worth it)

he might be the next sasha!

just do what you believe in mate. good luck.

out of interest what is the apr on this loan?

    £100 a month over 5 years sounds v pricey for a 5k loan.

    he'll pay 20 % more back!

you would have been better off getting a credit card with a low interest rate, or 0% for 9 months and try and get it out the way!

Just because everyone is super smart on here n always thinks about there cushty future in a little house with a mortgage doesn't mean you've gotta turn your noses up at someone who is getting a 5grand loan at 19 to support what he loves. Live for tomorrow, am in shitloads of fucking debt n i couldn't give a flying fuck, theres more to life than money.

sounds a bit daft to me - i am a debt advisor and i would advise you dont do it

all it takes for you to miss a payment and you end up paying a fortune back

have you actually got a job - if you havent the loan will be with some stupid company who prey on vulnerable people - you will have to maintain payments or get hassled beyond believe (people knocking on your door etc)

and the apr will probably be extautionate - you are probably paying back over 10k

but its your life only you can make the decision

the thing is, what you need is talent. If you got that then you don't need the top of the range set up. It's nice but not vital. when you start earning some money 'following your dream' then you can buy the kit without borrowing money. Are you sure your dream is not really to be admired for having a top set up?
