ooo....return of mr bond eh?! good good...

not many ppl will miss that ....no regs anyway....but i suppose the average clubber might.....but we have already been through all this talk last GK.

the only good bit of the last GK IMO was the SS room. the main room was shit. no atmosphere, too big, and nowhere near loud enough....

Mark, i dont know anything about how business' are run but would these nights where most are saving themselves for the saturday have a massive impact on clubs like promise/goodgreef etc. stayin open considering its only a few nights a year?

One of the main reasons they affect other nights is because the tickets for these things are so expensive. This means that not only do clubbers tend not to go to their local nights that particular weekend, but will usually have to save up and not go out for a few weeks beforehand, and can't afford to go for a while afterwards. This is even worse when the event isn't even in your city, as then travel costs and hotels are added too.

It does look like that's the way things are heading now, with Cream looking like the latest to join in.

well if scott bond is on then i'll def be at promise on the fri nite, and if the lineups are their normal high standards then i wont be missing any nights either side of this event either. if i cant afford to do promise and GK i'd rather have 5 (good)nights at promise than one (average - good) night at the arena.
im not arse kissing, but i'd rather give my money to something that i know delivers quality week in week out than a commercial night that'll be rammed with "sherminators".
come on, slate me for making generalisations

*gets out shovel for another dig at GK*
if im honest there's only really 5 djs i wanna see there, the three dutch djs and farley and tissera. would that really be worth £60 odd notes?
you could argue yeh, you'd pay at least ten each to see them at promise, but you wouldnt get the same atmosphere at the arena would you?

I can see why Mark is so pissed off. I'm sure as clubbers you all like it when big events like this are put on in your own city but they really can do untold damage to the local (weekly events).

Promise pays for the website and it's not really on for peeps to go on & on about our rivals. We don't want to ban all mention of other events on this message board but it could happen in the future if peeps don't stop aggravating the Promise staff.

Totally agree Rob. On some boards even the slightest mention of another nite or event and its deleted straight away. The Promise board has been more than accomodating to people posting about other clubs but sometimes things go to far, as in this case.

I just hope the board doesnt need to resort to banning other club nites etc from being talked about.

Well if peeps keep doing stuff like Steve did it would not suprise me if we have to bad discussions about our rivals.

As I said, I hope not.
