One of the things I really object to is having to pay to get set times! That really is taking the piss.

they are trying and they do a good job.

unlike the last times though I think promise have an extremely powerful competition night... Promise v Good Greef should be the best promise good greef collaboration in my eyes as the first are always the best.

Well looking forward 2 pvgg u going 2 do both then mate?

So when you say 'arena events don't work... they never have they never will' do you mean they dont work for knowledgeable clubbers ?

Do you think the Goodgreef/Promise thing will get a similar crowd?

don't like the word knowledgable clubbs, just clubbers, regular cluubers, etc.

Arena events attract big crowds cos they're big names with big line up's... festivals are sometimes different as they're spread over a much larger area :D

Promise v Good Greef will attract the promise and good greef faithful (with hoepfully a lot of curious clubbers) not the once a year masses as I doubt there'll be a huge media advertising campeign.

Ive been to three events at the arena, both Godskitchen events and Cream, i thought cream was the best in the second room with Xpress2 and Seb Fontaine till 6am, absolutley class. Had a wicked time at the first GodsKitchen aswell, but i was more into that music back then, but im not really into it now as much, still like the techno though.

Ill probably end up going to Godskitchen again so long as i got the cash, im not going down to Tall Trees though, its being booked this week and im skint!

The line up is decent, with Marco V, Mistress Barbara, Fergie, Tall Paul and Armin van Buuren appealing the most to me. That is so long as fergie plays techno instead of the shite he played last time.

However, i think Scot Project is pretty crap, Jules too, doesnt really appeal to me, and theres no decent room to go to when they are playing......sicne there is an Insomniacz arena for room 2.....oh dear! Which is why cream was so mint, with the house arena :)

Still though it should be a decent night, better than a kick in the balls i guess!

Pity about the charves tho, they shuddnt let them in. Having said that though, i aint seen a bit of bother at any of the events, but they still act like tossers!

I think there can be a good atmosphere but it gets drowned too easily by the tossers. The house room in cream had a class atmosphere though!

Sound is good in the foyer but the arena isnt really designed to well for great big sound systems used for club events, i wouldnt go to say that the sound system is crap, cos it isnt crap technically, and its very loud, just if you stand in the wrong place it sounds terrible!

Well ive had more than my two pennies worth so ill shut the hell up now ;)

B.O.B. you must of been reading my mind last Friday. I totally agree with you on the too much light in the Insom arena, it really spoils it and the fact that you have to pay for them set time necklace things. At the Cream event in the prog arena they had big black curtains all over and it really worked, plus the lighting was darker. I really enjoyed the X Press 2 set, it was quality. I do really enjoy HH but not at the GK arena events, I just can't get into it.

Smartie can you even remember the last GK event, you was totally fooked:lol:

The line-up IMO is really great and most of them, if in a club, I would go and see, The price is also not bad. It could most likely be a lot cheaper(profits a little bit less for GK), but it is certainly not badly over-priced IMO.

I have been to the arena 3 times now(GK twice + Cream) and have never enjoyed one of them. Give me a night in Promise any time. I know I will get pressurised by my mates, into going, but I will not be paying to go to an event we're I well not enjoy myself.

I can not wait for the return leg of GG vs P and I do hope to see everyone I know at Promise the night before GK, whether your going to Arena GK3 or not.;)
