    essentially, if you were in the same position, would you not do the same?

    if you were in a country in as dire circumstances as theirs - would you not move to a country that would reward you as much as we do for hard work? or if not would you not try and shift your skills as hard as the immigrants have to suit our country as much as they have? that makes PERFECT economical sense to me.

    as far as i'm concerned it's common sense what they've done. i'd do the same if i was in the same position. the otherwise normal public of england have just missed their chance.

    your just making excuses for a government that didnt really monitor the situation properly at all. as apposed to the people that were taking advantage of it. which would be me you or anyone in their situation IMO.

    What varies?

    If you mean exemptions codes & there meaning, they are standard across all councils. In my previous role for my current employer (Housing Assoc) I paid the CT (very rarely) or I got exemptions codes applied. I dealt with every council in the NE (from Scarborough to Berwick) & they all operated the same way & used the same codes.

    It wasn't the Taliban as such, it was the Mujahadeen in the 80's, Britain & the Yanks helped them defeat the Soviets. It was only after they won & we buggered off, that the Taliban took over. There's bound to be/have been elements of those original Muj fighters fighting us now. Most of the tactics that they are using against us now were tactics that were taught to them by us in the first place, hence the death toll :(
