I hope you're not with Orange, you can pay an extra £2.50 per month on ya bill when you're away for cheap calls.
When I went to work in Orlando last time I was calling home every day for at least 15 minutes and my bill was only about £100 for the month, its usually between £50 - £70 anyway.

Deffo give them a ring mate. Try and get the call listened into if it was recorded. Its worth a try like. They may be able to do something for ya. Might take a bit of effort but its better than spending £400+ on a phone bill

You shouldn't be getting charged to recieve texts.

You can choose to accept a call but you can't choose to accept text messages, especially as your phone automatically logs onto the foreign network if you have roaming enabled on your account (which is done by default in most cases).

    Unlucky son!!!

My last bill was £267.00 which they have taken out but im arguing it because i had asked for a limit of £50.00 to be set, they hadnt reminded me that I had gone over my limit so im within my rights to argue this one out

But id pay it not worth the aggro :)
