For the record, I think deleting threads/posts is pointless (unless a rule has been broken, which as far as I can tell, wasn't the case.)

In addition, while I am happy to listen to the council and its members, I think decisions about what action to take should be down to the mods unless the council have voted on a matter.

I also think what i've just written is VERY VERY sad.

Bottom line is there are rules in place to govern the board . As i understand it the council are as bound by those rules as the rest of us , So there seems to have been a slight bending of sed rules in the case of the deleted thread .

Exactly why was it deleted ? Why were the Rules broken ? And why has it caused so much Fuss ?

No the council don't tell the mods what to do you are missing the point. The council is meant to put someideas forward in how to make this board a better place...if they make any rules or changes all you have to do is change them as they don't have the ability to do that.
