im not gonna make a manager in the real worl at all. none of us are.

i agree to some extent that the tactics increase realism but they never will be anything like real life. if you read the fm forums there are massive holes in the tactics with players not following the tactical system so it leaves a lot to be desired. in real life there are loads more ways to motivate your team and outwit oponents... the fm model is good but if it becomes to hard it will take away the fun.

i have loved champ man a football manager all the way through but i dont want to spend ages starting a game only for all the tactics i spend hours and hours making to be shite and have to start all over. it tedious and annoying, the training side is the same, to get the blend right it can take umpteen attemps. thats not fun, its boring.

im not saying i want to win every game with a super tactic, but i want at least some plausable tactics to get me resluts and consistency. evenwhen i attempt to use real life tactics in the game, the computer sides always have an answer. not every team changes tactics for each match anyway... some teams have the model and then go out and make the opponeants adapt to them.

then again ill keep trying cos it took me a while to get into the last fm too.

I agree with Smog. I can't get into FM at all. I still just play an updated version of CM 01/02.

cm01/02 was unbelieveable... it had the perfect combo between hard/fun. i prefer fm for its detail and improved realism but it can be frustrating at times... took me ages to get into 2005, so ill keep trying with 2006
