i'm quite interested to know how nufc look after their youngsters.

are they putting your bro through any kind of education when he's not playing? and does he have to clean boots??

they went to colledge to do sports nvq's and had the option of doinf coaching courses . boot cleaning doesnt really happen anymore being as though hes 19 but some of the younger kids still do it though not that often .

To be honest Dalglish sorted the youth system right out , he brought the plans togther for the accademay and now there running things a lot bettr but ive had bad experiences of it as well . My other brother played for newcastle as well but had to retire due to injurys . He was in a car crash 5 years ago , came back started playing and then he had a really bad leg break . Newcastle hardly did anything to help him and he had to fight them all the way just to get compensation for loosing his career . they didnt even send him to private medical once they realised how bad his leg was he was just left to get on with it . Seems to have all changed now though .

    interesting......

was reading some info about academies in france and the way they treat the kids. it seems they have them in the classroom a lot and are very concerend abuot the character of their players, ie making them into decent human beings and not cunts. i remember a couple of summers ago i was in sports soccer looking for some footie boots and loads of nufc kids came together with their tracksuits on and fucking diamond ear rings. came barging in like they were royalty being lairy cunts, 'i play for the nufc academy, get out of my way'. in that article i read there was an interview with john collins saying that when he was at monaco, he was amazed that the kids had manners and respect for all management and anyone older than them.

that description seems miles apart from the little cunts i saw in soprts soccer.

yeah they should be educated and shown a bit of the world . English clubs bottle there kids up from the age of 9 in some cases then if they dont make it realses them into the real world where they dont have a fucking clue . I would make them do real jobs for a while so they can appreciate what they have as they tend to think there just doing a normal job when in reality there living every other mans dream .

i wouldn't like to be a footballer, the money would be good, but the sacrifices you have to make, food, drink, going out raving an shit, i couldn't handle.

What does the modern English Footballer sacrafice tho ? they get free food at top restaraunts , 90% drink , rave and generally get accused of rape. My point is if there shown what life can be like outside of that fame / pamperd environment then maybe we would have less arogant nob sacks like bowyer , dyer etc and more professional respectable players like Zola , beardsley who where the ones that sacraficed the likes of drink etc

Newcastle have always been notorious for having a bad youth policy!! Hope they sort it out.
