I think i'll go to this.
I never used to live Eddie but he plays some canny decent stuff now.
IMO he's better than he was 4 years ago.
I'm not saying he's my favourite but he'll do enough for me to dance off my Christmas gut(maybe not):D

Proudy - Does Shan still do Goodgreef stuff?
I've not heard a set by him for donkeys.

    He'll need a parachute if he's planning a stage dive. :D

Will be interesting to see if Crasher put on a Boxing Day Special at Tall Trees after the success of last Saturdays event. Bit of competition for this night if so.

thanks for the essay. No i merely claimed that when i went to see him on various occassions he was shit....no other word to use for it than shit. Dont get me wrong he used to be mint....then something happened, and for about 5 consecutive events i attended he was shit.....thus stopped enjoying him. Hardhouse changed and got more cheesey and commercial, i stopped enjoying HH and thus stopped going to events completely. So havent seen or given eddie the benefit of the doubt since.

I used to love him, and he let me down!!!:argue: lol

Really it's not that serious, dont take it to heart, its just an opinion. I know a shit dj from a good one, and i know he has the ability to be great, just not my cuppa anymore after he went through a shit period.

    Voila

    peace :chill:

Im really not, I just dived on your comment as it seemed ridiculous & MASSIVELY off the mark. You said his mixing was terrible, I backed myself up with fact giving examples & said it's far from slack, you backed yourself up with an opinion that you apparently know a good DJ from a shit one... clearly:rolleyes:

You also said GG were proposing to sell tix on the back end of his reputation from years ago, Eddie aint ever been as big as he has at present, so thats also bullshit.

Music wise I could accept what your saying, of course he's never gunna wet everyones pallet, but to say he's a terrible DJ just makes you sound daft considering the career he has behind him, that alone speaks for itself?

Yeh mate, Shan used to be Eddies A&R well still is but on a much busier scale when he had his weekly R1 slot, he still does the rounds & is fairly rammed with dates, he's up here on the 26th Oct for the GG gig @ Digital. The blokes always impressed me, he's never got any bigger than the level he's been at for about 3 years now but technically one of the best DJ's Goodgreef has on their books by a country mile.

He's unreal, his cross overs from Techno into Tech Trance are unreal, I've always enjoyed watching him, he doesn't really interact that much but is so slick on the decks, always been a fan.

Theres some recent demo's on his myspace page I think?

for the record in the first vid, bad example cos he spend half the time standing there looking gormless. 2nd vid....i hate people who flick their wrists when twiddling knobs on mixer it's simply not necessary......

oh and 3rd'ly......not a fucking record in sight, cdj's match bpm for you already, job done.....easy life, easy money.

*before you get on your high horse, i am aware that he OWNS records.....i have a problem with bone idle lazy arse dj's who cant be bothered to pull out their vinyl....takes away the true meaning behind dj'ing....and it's cheating*

KEEP IT REAL, KEEP IT RECORD!!!

You should write for DJ Mag

No disrespect luv BUT your talking shit... AGAIN

Id hardly call Zabiela, Hawton, Carl Cox, Halliwell, DJ Murphy "Lazy DJs" or "Cheating" (all of which use CDJ's or Laptops).

I think these videos have build up his reputation and helped put him where he is today expecially amongst the newcomers to the scene. This is not a bad thing, its just i have not seem him play remotely like this in the 6/7 times i have seen him live.
