I spoke to a taxi driver once who did the Norway training........ he said they where on a map reading exercise and where having trouble.......when looking at the map they where baffled at their position and couldn't work out where they were as they couldn't find this forest....

They asked the Norwegian for help finding the forest that they where supposed to heading for.

The Norwegian pointed at these tiny little sticks a few hundred meters away. he explained these where the very tops of 30 foot trees but the 29 foot of them where buried under snow!!!!

nah that's not true, your clothes tend to freeze into you in about 10 seconds..

aye it's a **** finding your way about when everything looks the same..we had to reply on map/compass and luck. It was also very hard getting away from a hunter force in a helicopter on ski's...they just folowed our tracks

I also found 6 SA80 magazines...20 blank rounds...1 parachute flair....and a machine gun cleaning kit.
