For those that are interested...

This saturday I am planning to do a ride from Prudhoe...with a little extra bit to link it up to Chopwell so that we can have a bit of a play on the freeride bit!!

The ride will go from Prudhoe to Headley on the Hill, Coalfields, Chopwell and back to Prudhoe. Should take around three - four hours depending on how much playtime we have in Chopwell.


The main part of the ride uses woods, rocky trails with some good descents.

Will be meeting at 10am on the A695 by the cattle crossing just before you get to Prudhoe (if coming from Newcastle) There is a layby on the right of the road to park..if it's full then there is a little lane on the right a little further up.

hamsley forest trek to the top of the hill and throw ya self back down great place its got streams to ride through and a lot of downhill to fall down

The proper downhill track at hamsterly is outstanding these days hope to go there when i get me front brake sorted

goto glentress forest and try the black run!!!

its double funny and dangerous!

The black route is great....although the red is a lots faster. I ended up with a stitched knee after that one!!!
