    DJ comps are a load of bollocks IMO.

    I entered one in consett and got knocked out in the first round by some kid who cleared the place out playing loads of clubland "trance" (plus the 12 minute mix of silence in a 45 minute set), yet everyone danced to me and said I was the better DJ :lol:

    burns was in that competition too, he never turned up for his round, saying that if I didn't deserve to get through my heat there's no way he'd let himself get knocked out by the little chav with a pile of scouse house records who'd been drawn in his heat :laugh:

    its all down to the judge's musical tastes - if you're not in tune with what they like you won't win. They're not the be all and end all anyways :D
