    Are you sure it was actually the "Champions League" when Leeds Utd played in it after winning the 1st Division.

    Yeah, it was def the Champion's League then. I think it was just knock out tho, not league. I think.:dunce:

    It was called the Champions League becuase they introduced a league format into the European Cup. It only had one league back then, when it started though. I think it was Est. in 1992 the Champions League because the first final was Juve V B. Dortmund and I think that was in 93.
