New year and all that.....we have looked into alot of options but reputable DJ's need booked months in advance. Watch this space........
mate, pigeon holing hard house is like racial profiling... a neccessary evil, its music for the chernobyl generation we made our first wheelie bin into a drag racer, then tuesday came and the bin men destroyed it, gutted
i am a huge fan of lashes and friday night was superb was hilarious when one of her decks blew during set
the funny thing is we've got cam corder footage of urban having it big time to glazby and tissera at a certain detox main room event in april 2006, maybe time to you tube it
From being out and about the past few months over here, I reckon we are very very snobbish and focused on 'genres' in the UK. When I first came over, I tried to impress by reeling off what genres of music I liked and disliked. No one really cares here, which is the way it should be. Go to a 'normal' nightclub, and you will regularly see bands playing rock, and DJ's playing breaks or whatever on the same night, with the same people dancing to it. For example, on Saturday I went to a night with Meat Katie and Lee Combs on in the main room, Psy-Trance in room two, and live bands in the third room. This night was in a heavy metal club, with some Polish Death Metal band (Behomoth I think) playing the night before. Unheard of in the UK. There's none of this "That type of music is shit" attitude which I find back home.
Its all tribal anyways - people trying to 'fit in' with people with the same tastes .... which is why everyone gets so arsey about which genre is good, which is crap etc etc.... .... which is why hard house is rubbish, and prog fans like me are class.
I didnt go to that event fleming offered me guesties for 2 mates those mates were added to guesltist and then when said mates turned up the names had mysteriously disappeared for the record snack when did we last charge you to get into detox? I'll give you a clue ......december 05 andy rocks, i suggest you assure yourself of the facts before passing comment you may want to work out the meaning of the 9-5 grind first before attempting to be a comedienne, your humour sucks
people not going to dance events = death of north east scene but the scene is alive and well cos a whole host of 20 somethings have now discovered the joys of dance music
ha ha i can't even believe how much that's riled you! I don't like paying to get in anywhere, but if I really want to go then I do.... p.s. I work many more hours than 9-5
