Its a Hardhouse weekend as GGTT is on the following day with Tidy Boys, Proteus, Dark by Design, Vandall. Means that there is only JNR:G to do next month which is a blessing in disguise as my holiday spending money could do with being added to sharpish!

i'd expect the bookings are down to digital themselves, and not always our rich - it's a big club and sometimes u have to sleep with the devil to get by...

Well I don't care what Lee or anyone says, I think Digital has more to do with this than Tulip.

Digital thought they had made a calculated move kicking off a trance night with the well respected resident/promoter of a previous well respected trance night. They were blatantly attempting to cash in on Promise's reputation by hoping people would be turning up on the strength of Tulip and what he done with Promise but the numbers and interest they expected didn't materialise. I don't care who made the first move, but either way I am definitely thinking, looking back at the last 2 or 3 lineups, that Digital holds the money, not Richard and the only way Digital can get a decent return is by holding nights which will attract more than just ex-Promise goers and hardcore trance fans, they need to make the night more accessible to make sure they make something back off it, it has a far higher capacity than the Cosmic as well.

If anything Simon Patterson appearing on that lineup the other month looked like Tulip's attempt to try and retain some of Evolve's credibility which it is rapibly losing.

he's doing what he needs to do to fill a big club and not lose money, some weeks might be more unusual (Ronald Van geld) - other lashes.

I cant see a problem tbh , would be shit if it was just the same old trance month in month out , variation is the key , the night that was meant to be a hard house night there was hardly any "proper" hard house played anyway, mostly techy - trancey stuff with quite a few remixed classics hoyed in !!!

plus it gets people thru the doors , i think the only poor attendance so far was the jules night , maybe down to the weather tho as the whole town wasquite empty !!!

As much as I'd love to see PVD in Digital, it won't make this line-up any better. You have to credible every time to establish a strong brand.

sceptics beware - this is happening, in newcastle, at digital - it's confirmed but the date can not be released until the whole tour is

good luck to t'internet detectives - in fact free entry to the person who finds the date out first (as long as that's before we announce it leek)
