Why don't you go to Coral.co.uk and put your £5 on Italy to win. If they win then you can have loadsa money. If they loose, well you'll get your £5 back off Pete!

Don't get me wrong, I would love to see england win the thing, but many england fans, at every tournament, make themselves favourites without looking further than the fact they are England.

Yes you have a good side, but there are also other good sides out there too. The midfield and defence are second to none, and the strenght in depth in these areas would instill confidance in me also. However the striker situation is a worry, you need form and confidence going into any championship, and i don't see it. Then there is the keeper, I can't see, or more over, don't regard James as good enough to consitantly put in the performances needed to win a major international tournament.

Can't see England not getting out of the group, but a lack of fire power, or a horrendous goal keeping display will make a semi-final spot at best.

I honestly hope I am wrong however.

( just in case we get tanked in the world cup 2006 qualifiers

    ;) )

I know it doesn't sound it, but I actually want england to win, I'm in crete for the first week of matches, but as i'm on holiday with my bird, I'm only allowed to watch a few games, which will be the england ones.

    :D

Yeah I agree about James, I never ever thought he would be England first choice, still can't!!

I think it's going to come down to the first match against France. If we win it, we can go all the way, in a very high bubble!!

I am not saying we are favourites, and I'm not expecting us to win, but I think we have a very good chance of doing it!!:D

The English optimism pre tournament is brilliant, it's so fucked up, as soon as it goes tits up and your out you totally destroy your players through the media, show them no support and even go as far as hanging dummies and threatning there lives.

Why dont people use previous statistics to see what the likelyhood of winning Euro 2004 are?

0% as always. Everyone gets so hyped up about it, yet dissapointed when they dont win, what did you expect?

    Mugs game!
