    an easier way would have been to limit the sets to 10 minutes each, with the winner doing the final 2 hours or whatever

    of course that would involve you fuckers getting some skills first like :p

    I stand by what i said earlier in the thread - 99% of DJ comps are purely to get people through the doors and i cant take them seriously. They stick on half a dozen local DJ's who bring all their mates in support, and the only real winner is the night who benefit from people coming down who wouldn't usually.

    The 'winning DJ' gets some half arsed set in a back room or something generally as their prize.

    Like has been said above the only real way to do it and for it to work is for everything to be scored properly so everyone can see who has scored what, and what the winner has done to win the comp - such as online voting or maybe even a scoring system in place in the club event from a panel of independent judges so its more than just "i think he has won"....

    - Competition held to be put on bigger line up **Carrot Dangled**
    - Votes cast will be from the crowd...oh and a Judge;) so best bring all your mate who we'll charge a fiver each to get in.
    - Winner goes to a local lad who doesn't even have decks.
