Your both talking out of your backsides. The original comment regarding Eddie playing just techno was: Bollocks!! Just look at someone like Mauro, who now plays and produces pretty much entirely techno/electro stuff, has done for a while yet still struggles to be accepted by "propper" techno fans. He is rarely mentioned in the same sentence as the likes of Hawtin, Mills, Clarke, Vath, who IMO are the creme de la creme of techno DJ's (whether they float your boat or not). He could have more tricks up his sleeve than James Zabelia but the fact remains he has a stigma and a following that any DJ would find VERY difficult to shake off. He is a resident at Goodgreef which a lot of people still see as a hard house club (or "hard dance" ). To put him up there with top techno DJ's is pretty laughable to be fair.

maybe it was james u talked to when he put the records in the box for a bit....hes he weak link in the looks department.
Its not about being 'accepted' by anyone. A load of DJs/Artists have completely change their styles and evolved their sound for the better. As far as i'm concerned, a good record is a good record. Full stop. No matter who made it. The reason I don't like his tracks is not because of anything he used to do. Its because I think their shite.
Of course it is! How the hell can you be top of the field in a particular genre if the people who follow that genre will not accept you as such?!!
ive never said eddie was a serious techno DJ!!! well, except when im taking the piss on here. he played some techy stuff, still not real techno though, along side some hard trance and hard dance, its what eddie does!!!! hes only playing techy stuff cos its the 'in-thing' at the moment, but tbf i still quite like seeing him play, hes an entertainer and doesnt try to be a serious credible DJ, and fair play to him hes done very well doing what he does!!!!!

i think eddie does have the technical ability to be up there with the likes of those. he wouldnt be accepted and would be shot down probably, but thats irrelevant - we aint talking about whether he would make it big in that market, merely if he could do it. and im pretty confident he could. very few dj's ive seen can make mixing look quite so effortless. his tune selection aside, technically he's sound.
I doubt he means that I wouldn't put Clarke, Hawtin, Vath and especially Carola anywhere near Mills, nevermind this Eddie chap.
