Eddie Halliwell is a bit like Eyeball paul in that Kevin and Perry film.

The moment people stop chanting his name and relying on hype alone for a good night out - is the day people stand quietly scratching their heads in front of an embarrased DJ wondering why people dont find him standing on the decks or beating his fists into the air, actually very entertaining anymore.

I think he just needs to tone it down a bit and keep the theatrics as something to enhance a set of well selected tunes..... rather than relying on them?

My take anyhow - If people still enjoy seeing him then thats brilliant... Its just that you seem to see alot of former eddie fans now wondering what the heck they ever saw in him, just like Tiesto ...................................... Do Sasha fans, former or present do the same?

obv people who havent heard of him dont come into the equation

it should have said 15% of the people that know who eddie is..

but then i couldnt have made a generalised statement

i do agree with this post. ive met eddie and hes cushty (lol @ cushty) so i'll carry on chanting "eddie eddie eddie" for a long time, so what if hes random in genre or does the same tricks every time, he's got a massive crowd following and is a massive inspiration to alot of people...long live the cdj loop function and scratch samples...one more thing..........EDDIE EDDIE EDDIE......lol

sweeping generalisation. you cant possibly know that without sampling a representative proportion of people, even then you cant compare one sample based on one thing to another unrelated one. anyone should know that statistics can almost always be manipulated to show the desired outcome... ask any politician ;)

in the eddie case where was the sample conducted? is it a representative sample? what techniques were employed? or is that you were talking tripe? :dunce:

on eddie... he doesnt do it for me, there are many dj's i prefer and i wouldnt go outta my way to see him. fair do's to anyone who would tho... each to their own

But your not playing in front of all those people and he is...

fair does...he play random sets/fucks up sometimes/is generally off his tits when he plays...But his sets entertain people and nobody makes a club go up like eddie halliwell (nobody i've so far seen)...The easiest thing to do if you dont like a dj is not go and see them.

as ive said before the statement was a generalised statement which can be applied to many different situations, looks at jules, eddie, etc etc people find it un cool to like them even though they may not have heard them

the "15%" figure was found out by some1 who obviously researched this topic quite thouroughly, obviously it isnt gonna be exact and doesnt apply to everything it is one persosn opinion on something backed up with evidence, but that is what most of science & psychology etc is about

eddies not that bad man, people always slag him but look were he is,. then take a look at ya self and see were you are in the djing world he's much higher up the ladder than any off you and ME so he cant be all bad, still could go to watch him and enjoy it even though techno is #1 and theres a good few techno djs that,ll wipe the floor with him:lol:
