Your talking shit mate, what better way to market a product than national television?

How does someone with no business connections hook-up with investors, angels, etc.

Theres nothing wrong with the show, its a reflection of reality, not every entrepreneur/inventor knows how to pitch, not every pitch is sensible (look at boo.com for christ sake ;)), yes its made tv friendly... but so fuck?

    you're old before your time.

Were going through a period now where people feel like they can skip 'details' such as being able to pitch properly and hope that their lame idea will sell itself.

Every man and his dog has a great invention or idea that they are sure will make millions - the only difference these days is we have given lifes losers a stage on which we can laugh at their attempts and throw our rotten tomatos at them.... TV has degenerated to the point where we seem to gain some kind of masochistic self satisfaction from seeing other people fail - nobody really cares about the winners once they have won... in fact we love to build people up just so we can shoot them down. Its a british national passtime.

People without business connections, angels or hookups shouldnt be in business - full stop. Thats life - In fact i would have thought you would be the first person to admit theres more to making money for yourself than relying on talent alone..... businesses are NOTHING without salesmen.

    Next.

I'm sorry but youre talking cobblers.

Youre obviously not involved in business on any scale, I'm not a salesman, I can't pitch for shit (I stutter stammer clam up), yet i'm highly successful at what i do because my actions speak louder than my words.

You're confusing corporate business with entrepreneurs, many entrepreneurs haven't run previous businesses, many entrepreneurs don't have any connections, many entrepreneurs don't have a track record or access to substantial capital.... This is why many entrepreneurs seek investment.

If they had access to all these things they wouldn't give away large percentages of their company.

In business its the product that counts, a good salesman can sell ice to eskimos once, however that eskimo will not continue to buy ice.... But a bad salesman can sell a good product to anyone.

There is nothing wrong with the show.
