    1. let's face it, this board will not receive message board of the year award 2003 will it, it's a joke on many other boards, maybe you should have a read around to get peoples opinion.

    2. I've worked as a freelance designer in the past actually.

    3. The images used are not copyrighted and free to use.

    4. what exactly does not work on the pages that i dont know about.

    5. Yes I know the pages go down alot, but it's merely a set of holding pages so its not that important, the important part is getting the main site up and running on time, Once you find the end of the text, you usually stop there, it's called having common sense

    6. You can not compare your website to this one, it caters for something completely different, how many visitors you get is irrelavant, it's if they come back is the question, which alot of them don't, your message board has alot to do with that

He's made more than twice the amount of posts as me, hasn't been to promise (as far as i'm aware) and to be fair he isn't on here for any good reason like the rest of us either.

    1. Who cares what other message boards think (I mean grown ups)?

    2. I'm waiting for the examples of your work actually.

    3. Funny I thought that the image of the kid had been used in a marketing campaign a few years ago, did the owners/agents of give it to you royalty free?

    4. What you said in 5.

    5. Actually it's very important to give visitors a good first impression.

    6. How do you know if they come back, have you read our stats. You seem to be talking like you have seen our stats but I cannot see how you could of. Please give at least one shread of evidence to support your statement.

Shaun again over-steps the line and unsults someone professionally, despite having no professional experience to speak of. Any fool with a graphic package can do freelance design work , fool

I've been designing and building computer systems longer than you've had bollocks, and with your attitude i'll be amazed if your site actually gets launched never mind last till xmas.

Can I have your domain name when you don't need it, i'm sure I can do something good with it

I'm going to try to avoid getting into the whole arguement but I have to agree with Rob on this one!!!

Also, when the site is launched I guess you will be wanting feedback and will use this to positively change the site to what people want or is it going to be your way or no way?!?!?!

That's a lot of assumptions to make before it's even been launched.

    1. what exactly is wrong with it, just because it's not what everyone else does and is different which is what we're trying to do, doesn't make it wrong? well does it?

    2. it's just a holding page, it's not the actual site

I know people who have done no web development before that have been paid hundred to design websites....shall we ask Rob how much he gets paid for this one and the other ones he does? I'm not trying to have a go at Shaun here, I'm sure he could be fucking good but I, like Rob, wouldn't mind seeing a few examples!!!

Look at my site www.microsoft.com, I done it all by myself ya know....honest!!! :D

and you have experience in this sort of thing do you?

It depends how far you want to take it, It's not merely whipped up on frontpage express in your lunch break, as the site is taking shape, lots of people will be curious to what the site is about, and alittle info doesn't go amiss, other than 'launch date february 1st 2003' It's all about getting a feel for the site, it's called marketing

get a book out from the library, maybe start with internet marketing for dummies

The general pages are alright but the space at the bottom of the pages, IMO, looks unprofessional!

I know its a holding page, I will reserve judgement on the site until I have actually seen it!
