nah, i was going to do some of that MMA shizzle for me SIA card, however - i'm soft as a sack of shite so i'm not going to bother.

i've got my broon stripe 1 in karate tho - but its just a case of remembering a routine i suppose. piss.

if this thread is still about martial arts i used to do jujitsu , more of a defence rather than attack.. used swords , nuchackas (i love them ) .. i had to stop due to car accident/back injury , thou in the near future i intend to return when i feel fit again:)

I fancied doing some sort of JJ but I reckon I'd prefer muay thai. I just need to wait until my foot heals before I start. peter, is it phoenix MMA that you goto by any chance?

I don't have her on MSN :p I was genuinely interested in martial arts when I started the thread so don't point the finger at me ;)

Do you get to spa much or is it all training?

So what kind of training is it that you do? Bags, mats and sparring? Is there any gym equipment? I'm not sure what these schools usually have. I know that Phoenix MMA only has bags, mats and a removable ring. Ideally I'd like to go somewhere with some sort of gym facilities but maybe that's asking for a bit much ;)

alot of sparring, bag work and free direction shit (which bores the hell out of me)

If you wanna go somewhere with weights your best bet will be an mma or kickboxing club

I have a weights bench and some other stuff at home, but it's not as comfortable as it would be in an organised venue and I think having the option to do it after a MA session would motivate me more. I'll have a scout around and see what I can find out.
