Oops that was me posted as ted. :dunce:

I do think this post is ridiculous tho. If you think you're above sending out CD's then you're obviously above playing at a 'small time' night....I really don't see what your problem is??

    Historical fact...

A long, long, long time ago, when a young Paul Oakenfold started his Spectrum nights at Heaven, he was asked for a tape. Imagine if he told the club owner to fuck off how things might be now.

The more demos in circulation you have, the wider you establish your listener base. Yes, a lot of CD’s go straight in the bin, but that is all part of the game. If you love this calling and want it, you will persevere.

The more promoters you canvass, the more experience you get in canvassing.

I mail out over 1000 CD's, to UK and overseas promoters, every quarter, and give away over 500 copies to friends.

As long as you include an email on the lable, or in the CD text, a prospective promoter will get in touch if he/she is interested.

    Lee :)

I took my time responding to this one.....

Even big name djs send out demos, it's part of the curtesy of the industry. Promise gets sent mixes from some really big name djs (mauro picotto sent promise a demo cd before he played).

If you don't like the way the business works then just go do something else and stop whining about it.

    You're reminding me of a fireman. :D

The last good decision Wilko made and it was back in 1992 (11 years ago)!!

Cantona then won them the title. So Wilko sold him to Man U for about £1m and so their domination of English football began. Basically its all Wilkos fault. Blame him for everything!!
