Do you buy a metro ticket?

Maybe it is, but then again...maybe it isnt.

If they used turnstiles, then people would have to buy a ticket to get on the train. If they use inspectors, then they will make alot of money from fines which would otherwise not be made, simply by people taking the risk.

And those who say there are hardly ever inspectors obviously dont use the metro all that much!!

I use the metro twice a day three times a week, sometimes more, and there are always inspectors knocking about.

I use the metro twice a day from Seaburn to Longbenton and they may get on once every two months.

I see them most days to be fair, I go from Bank Foot to St Peters.

I didnt necessarily mean get on the train mind, I mean checking peoples tickets at stations when you get off etc.

The only place i ever see them doing that is obviously the ones in town and west jesmond to try and catch all the students
