How do you class a DJ as a resident ?

It all bollox all this monthly/ Bi monthly resident stuff.

Weekly resident are the true residents.

If Armin has played at the last 6 GC events, how many has Matt Hardwick (Gatecrasher resident) played?

    I get around ;)
Well Said Shaun, I think you explained it perfectly.

I can see the republic becoming flats, sheffield is a city on the grow and needs the space it can find. People just arnt bothered about clubbing these days, pubs are staying open more later and with the government wanting to allow pubs to stay open 24/7 i can see a lot of clubs just giving up and becoming pubs.

Im becoming more and more detached from clubbing its just not intresting me anymore, same djs playing same records week after week.

    :(

They have more of a community sense spirit about them than alot of other clubs I know, but that should be there as standard to any club and is at least what the clubber deserves, it shouldn't be seen as something special and that they are doing you a big favour listening to you.

You think madders and danny are doing it purely for the love of the clubber? I saw dannys new car after sundis norf monday and they're laughing all the way to the bank.

Agree totally, so armin has played a couple of times in the past 6 months, it hardly shows he's really dedicated to the club does it now, it's nothing to him, he's hardly ever there!

monthly events don't have residents just familar faces that tend to play

What it seems to me is everybody learn't how to dj realised it wasn't as hard as all that. Explains why smaller nights are still thriving whilst big clubs are falling on their collective arses.

it does look that way from the listings....which is good.
its good to see new ppl like MIKE, gielen etc. playing.

the nights when someone new had been been on have been busier than the nights wehn say, john kelly is on...havent they?

its good 2 hear there will be more variety next year...

imo.. the lineups have been quite similar the past few months... bond/ornadel both been on regular recentlee.. which isnt a bad thing as they are class dj's.. but it nice to have variety now and again.
