A couple that could definately be done and reckon would go down really well with fans of tech house, minimal and switch/sinden fans would be Santiago & Bushido, I think Chris Santiago is the main one that djs http://www.santiago-bushido.com/mp3/chrissantiago-dec2007promomix.mp3 http://www.santiago-bushido.com/mp3/chrissantiago-smartbarChicagoNYE2008.mp3 http://vivaagencygroup.com/santiago-and-bushido and Lee Mortimer [ame="http://www.zshare.net/audio/6787782ffbe37d/"]zSHARE - lee mortimer january 2008 mix.mp3[/ame] [ame="http://www.zshare.net/audio/40316685b89ae6/"]zSHARE - lee mortimer aka sawtooth sucka sober october mix 2007.mp3[/ame]
My list who dont play up here regular anyway would probably be... Radioslave Kanzyani Beyer Dubfire Len Faki Gel Abril Lutzenkirchen Oliver Huntemann Oxia Popof Samuel L Sessions A few off the top of my head
Dennis Ferrer Laurent Garnier Henrik Schwarz Steve Bug Carl Craig Shur-i-kan Scope Mark Farina DJ Heather Well looking forward to seeing Joris Voorn & Jimpster within the next few weeks as well
Just out of interest, have you heard any of their mixes or just like their tunes? for me Francois K Cassy Al Usher Sasse Garnier Marcus Intalex Ben Simms Solomun Giles Peterson Prins Thomas Chateau Flight Maurice Fulton Dave Mothersole Will Saul (somewhere small)
Yeah mate, ive heard DJ sets from all aside from Len Faki and Popof, having only heard Faki play a live set. I havent heard Popof though have heard wicked reports about him as a DJ and like his productions, so he is included on that basis. Add Francois K to my list as well, was impressed with his Masterpiece mix when i bought it edit - add Raudive as well, was quality when saw him at Fabric.
I wouldn't mind going to see Francois K in Manchester on the 5th April at the Paradise Factory like. Others I wouldn't mind seeing: Steve Bug Sven Vath Dave Clarke Garnier Ewan Pearson Mathew Dear Dyed Soundorom James Priestley Richie Hawtin Carl Craig Kerri Chandler Tom Middleton 'cos I missed him at Habit **EDIT** Deadmau5, 16 Bit Lolitas, Jamie Jones and Damien Lazarus an all. Plenty more, but too many to list..... I'd love to see Lawler do another 'Lights Out' Tour and play in complete darkness again And I can't wait until the Error lads get Magda back on up here either
Eddie Richards Mike Dred Lory D Aux 88 Dexorcist Regis Bass Junkie DJ controlled weirdness Neil Landstrom I-F Underground Resistance Robert Hood ED Dmx DJ Serox.
I think Giles Peterson Plays whq about once a year Maurice Fulton played stage door a few years back I think, didn;t go word was he was good, played alot of disco Chateau Flight, really? I've only heard one mix by them/him and it was really dull deep house
there are so many people in the thread that have already played Newcastle in the last 12months or so......
fortunately for me I reckon i'd love it if it's owt like the mixes/vids lee sent me, just cos he does summik different and he'd whip a big room like digital into a frenzy with his vocal house doubles/scratching
For the other few people interested - someone has Jamie Jones booked for june! http://www.myspace.com/jamiejonesdj
