agreed, cant see the point personally at the end of the day small nights like vuzz, twisted ect is the only place where young dj's get to play out, without these and people supporting them then people wouldnt have anywhere to play, and there wouldnt be any alternatives for people wanting something different than the big nights promise, shindig ect. Paul leaving will be a massive loss for vuzz, hes a good mate of mine and did a excellent job for vuzz and i dont think theres any need for slating him publically, whatever has happened. But for the future of Vuzz, and speaking to Scott about it yesterday, i know hes got full intentions of keeping the night going. Last night was a good night, no names on but still had a fair few in and a good atmosphere, and Ben Lost is booked for 2 weeks time too. Best of luck to Scott with Vuzz and to Paul with whatever he decides to do, and as always ill support (and play ) whenever yous want me too
I think we're going to have to agree to disagree on this one Rach I know some of the stunts Paul has pulled in the last few weeks and they are anything but honest and 'deisent' I'm dropping it now though 'coz it will all just add to his status as the victim in this.
class that's going on the next lot of flyers Vuzz @ Mono 'the basement we call a venue' can't buy PR like that
either way paul is a good guy and has always worked really hard for vuzz... if he wants to leave thats his call and i think people should be saying thanks to him for all hes done for vuzz rather than anything else
to be fair, u lot i.e. pike, jane and scott have really gone about things in not a pleasant or professional manner wot so ever. regardless of wot has gone on the lot of you have done nothing but drag pauls name through the dirt. its almost seems childish to me as to how you have proceeded with the whole thing. While paul was in charge with scott they have brought Vuzz from a back room night for local djs to play to a night with some decent names that are worth seeing whilst still supporting the local talent. Now just because there have been some professional disputes doesnt mean to say that the pair of them and others included havent done a bang up job on bringing the night into the limelight rather than being stuck in mediocrity. The best thing for everyone in this situation would be to just drop it and continue on. I too want to wish all 3 of you all the best in continuing the night and i will still attend as i love to see small nights coming through and pushing the scene forward but just leave the hate campaign on paul out of it because its doing no good to anyone.
dropped? it would never have been brought up if it wasnt for a certain someone posting bullshit on the vuzz board and forwarding personal emails to ppl. anyway thanks for all your hints and tips people :bang:
Sadly fire regs in the basement only allow a max of 35 people However Gary who runs FMs has applied for planning permisson to convert the broom cupboard so we may have a second room by Xmas Polish up your funky house Mick and you never know!!
Thats a shame. Maybe it'll be better if you stick with the basement you've got and keep working on filling that up. Wouldnt think it would be hard to fill such a small place, but you seem to be having difficulties.
