You truely are a nobber mate, I've been going over and over how a nobody like you can possibly think he's all that... I mean you dj'ed at trades, you dress like a tit, your from consett, your not the sharpest tool in the box... yet you've got these false delusions of granduer.

You seriously need a reality check, half those pissed up pikeys from consett come to promise if richard took that attitude he'd be boo'ed out the club... What makes you better than richard - and in fairness what makes u better than the so called pikeys?

    You don't dress better
    You don't loook better
You get in just as big messes (I've seen ur photo's and if u were sober in them you truely are a tit)
Your certainly not of a better pedigree (you look like an inbred bong eyed tit)

So I'm trying to work out - what the fuck gives you lord of the fucking gimps... the right to talk down to people you don't even know.

Get off your high horse, as I said before arrogance is somehting you earn.... And Nat has a bigger claim to it than you...

And please don't pick at my spelling mate, it's usually a sign of someone who can't think up a decent arguement thus results to nit picking, it aint funny, it aint clever you just come across as a smart arse who can't construct a decent arguement.

    hmm...

you ever been to trades then?

because most of the people I know in consett who regularly go to promise won't go anywhere near trades, especially given how far downhill the place has gone.

When it opened, it was a reasonable night out. The recent change in music policy (to flip n fill, scooter, milk inc etc) just got rid of the punters who enjoyed a decent night out (and I used to be one of them.)

Last time I was there was with a mate about a month ago. We finished the night on an absolute downer, he got started on by some random charv who took exception to what he was wearing. The time before that I had been grabbed by the neck by someone I didn't even know, and the glass collectors came running in to pull this guy off (who was pilled off his face). Makes a change from the place that was such a laugh when I started working there.

Look at the DJs that have been at trades in the past. Tim Lennox, Tom Wainwright, Graeme Park, Marshall Jefferson, Farley Jackmaster Funk (who is on at smile this coming monday). So ok, they're hardly Pete Tong or Seb Fontaine, but still worth listening to (especially Wainwright). Now the line-up is closer to Saffron, Dave Kelly, Steve Furnell, Kareem.

If you lived in Consett, would you go to see Dave Kelly when you can go and see Yoji?

I'll have a return taxi to melbourne st. please :)

You timed how long it took for me to reply? You really need to get over me cutey. That is very very sad.

And arrogance is earned you plank, People like J-Lo and Joe Cohen pull it off as they've every right to think themselves better than people like you as in reality they are - they're everything you want to be, they own everything you want to own... However when someone like yourself attempts a witty arrogant remark - you just come across as a total bellend... Specially when those you diss are of a better social class than yourself.

And seriously mate if you read your posts you draw the same conclusions as me - your a total tit.

(oh and I go on about you being a retard, because you are a retard)

nah, it's not about being better than anyone. People will always like different music (i'm quite partial to shindig when it's tribal). I don't expect people to like what i like.

The problem I have with the place is what it has become. I'm sure you wouldn't go to promise every week if someone started on you every time you went on the dancefloor... but it's virtually impossible to compare the two when promise is about music and trades is about making money (which is why the place has no dress code). Getting pissed out of my face to some mindless thumping crap and getting started on by some random person isn't my idea of a good night.

why don't you go one night and see for yourself.

But dick splat wasn't going on about people who were starting on him, he was having a go at people who were going out of their way to thank him...

    He's a tit.

Try being a consett DJ. At trades, you used to have a queue to put in a request. The stage above the DJ stand used to be full of people asking for requests. I know (because being the stand-in light jockey, I used to write them down.)

The crowd isn't very forgiving. Take the punters who want to hear their song NOW despite the fact that another 3 people have put in requests before them, and you're playing through them. Why should you play someone's song NOW just because they're making such a fuss? The three people before that asked first and have been patient (i.e. waiting their turn) deserve to hear their song first.

And your average punter in this place comes up to shake your hand... not because he appreciates what you're playing (well, not usually), but because he's pilled or smashed off his face. A certain example would be the wannabe DJ who spewed over juski's CD folder after getting into the DJ stand. And it wasn't just juski... Other DJs who used to work there had to put up with the same stuff. I'm sorry if I come accross as insensitive or egotistical, but anyone who has worked there will understand what I mean.

If I had taken the kind of abuse that being a DJ at trades brought with it at ANY venue, I would have hung up my headphones long ago.

my bad he deserves a medal, the torture he must of endured... I mean that sounds like hell, who'd of thought people requesting tunes from a dj - its unheard of!

And to think they then had the cheek to thank him!!!!

    what a nerve!

    lol :) sarcasm :D

why not go there one night and see for yourself. It probably ain't the hellhole I make out, but it's not my idea of fun, and I doubt very much that it is yours either (as you seem to display intelligence).

A tip for survival: if you stay downstairs you're safe. Charvs don't like 80s music :)
