Dj Competition at Sunday Trading

Sounds good to me. Wish I had some money to buy some new records! Oh well, I'm sure I'll find something to play.

The winner of the weekly heat for 2nd February was Darren Smith playing a funky house set. Darren goes through to winner of the month heat at the end of Feb.

The winner of the Month for January was John Sinclair playing a hard house set. John goes through to the winter quarter final at the end of March.

Congratulations to both and well done to all the runners up who are all keen to re-enter at a later stage.

DJ Young Guns had only been practicing for a couple of months, has never DJ'd before and isn't serious about the competition. So he has magnanimously foregone his place as winner. He said that he did it for the fun of it and didn't expect to win. He said that the lads who were serious about dj-ing deserved to get pushed on.

Accordingly, Craig White, who came avery close second is the winner for 9th Feb. He goes through to the end of month round.

Also Craig White got picked by a promoter who happened to be present and got a job!

As a matter of interest, what is the general style of the winners?

Is it varied or all trancey sort of stuff?

Well this evening was ermm...interesting! Like few have said take alot of mates & you'll win. No disrepect to guy who won, but imo he was the worst overall on the night. But it's a popularity comp I suppose...

well well well, would like to say thanx to those who came, was a good night overall, would like to say thank for borrow of headphones tony and if any 1 shouldve won, wouldve been you fella! good mixin although not my style of music! wasa bit weird on styles of music, house, hard house, house, hard house???
