Couldnt agree more with Aaron. Dai is just out of this world. No one plays like him and certainly no one play that style of BOsh anymore. It harps back to the way Halliwell used to be although Dai was playing that style a couple of years before Halliwell even burst onto the scene.

Definately one my very favourite DJs. His style mish mashes elements of hard house, trance, techno into a big gravy of bosh. Its amazing

TBH energy dai did not impress at all, and quite alot of people said that. It did'nt help that the sound system had been blown to bits by Mark E G before hand so it did'nt sound to good to begin with but he dropped the pace way to much after following Mark E G. 15 mins into his set he played F16 by simon patterson and it kinda turned into junior G from that point. There was alot of people went to see him and alot left through his set. He would have suited being on alot earlier but not last.

Mick did a great warm up set, got the place right in the mood. well played kidda, loved it. Madam Zu played the best set of the night IMO. Mark E G was a nutter as always. Still had one of the best nights out in ages though. I was supposed to be leaving at 1ish but stayed untill 2:30. Crowd was mint, alot of different faces this time but still a great atmosphere. I heard there was 4 people ask melt for a refund because they thought it was an electro night

    Well done guys

It was energy dai who fucked the system, not mark eg. stupid fucker had got the gains all the way up, meaning the pa was clipping like fuck. The club manager lost it slightly IMO in deciding to keep the new PA off after that to stop it getting blown, but energy dai was severely taking the piss.

I got told mark eg was redlining the system throughout his set and the gains had been taped over but he kept ripping it off

Maybes the mixer should have been marked up in japaneese

I have come to the conclusion that most djs have not got a clue when it comes to redlining the levels on mixers

I have also come to the conclusion that most venues are run by clueless muppets and why anyone would want to perservere with such bozos is beyond me

I think theres like one venue bloke ive worked with in the last 6 years who I actually had a clue

BEFORE EVERYONE KICKS OFF i AINT ON ABOUT THE PROMOTERS HERE, most of them know what they are doing

tbh I dont care if he was

it was a sell out up to max capacity by 1130, and we were knocking people back, and they still whinge even tho we've seen the spreadsheet with the total bar takings on, bunch of ungrateful heathens

i am surprised man of science didnt drop him at one point

imho conventional square shaped venues suck

its not what we are about

and what we have is too good to be abused by city gangsters

THE BALLROOMS NEEDS AN ON HAND SOUND TECH.

I've said this for ages, most DJ's do know how to maintain their Levels but cant always help sound problems, or for the DJ's that dont, there needs to be someone stood in the booth to tell them to calm it, or for genral help when things do go wrong.
For the money the Club now charges to hire they've done FUK ALL to justify it: A new booth made from MDF with a lick of paint & New Sound System (only downstairs) The Backroom STILL hasn't got it's own setup Lol - Madness.
