traktor looks a million times better for dj use dont you think - and im hoping the beatgrids work better than how they did in version 2.0

Theres no doubt in my mind that ableton is the daddy as far as the depth to how far you can go with it

    BUT

    BUT

Christ .... as far as mixing one tune into another one in a simple manner, it looks like a total pain in the arse. Howay?

Hold on there cowboy - I know its the bee's knees.

All im saying is take a total layman and put him in front of Ableton and Traktor and what looks easier?

Fair do's you picked it up quickly and say its easy to figure out - but i had a few clicks around and just though 'bollocks to this' when i tried it out on this mac a little while back.

Alot of the things you are used to as a traditional vinyl/cd dj just arent immediately obvious with ableton which yeah, has put me off a bit - i guess its just something you had to UNLEARN before you relearn how to do it with ableton.

Traktor, ..... well you have to at least admit its alot more intuitive, but obviously you will hit a ceiling with it alot quicker.

Ive got no doubt i could learn it if i give it more than a passing chance - its just that traktor doesnt seem quite as fisher price as it used to be.

It isn't, the new 3.2 update came out on Friday, it now has a proper pitch slider like on a 1210/CDJ, amongst other things.

If you have your laptop set up right (basically so that it isn't using RAM for anything else) then it's solid as a rock :D

Because its more DJ orientated IMO. If you know how to use vinyl or CD's you'll pick up Traktor very quickly.

I wouldn't say the same about Abelton though...

granty has one of them, seems alright for the money but you are correct about the effects - they do all sound pretty similar, if you can hear much of a difference in the first place.

But the behringer is £120 and the djm600 is £400/500 - hardly comparible anyways.
