saying stuff like this makes him sound like a twat - 'I honestly feel that the dance music scene needed a good bit of shaking up...'

if he doesnt go and see DJ's how does he know the 'scene needs shaking up'.. did it not occur to him that the scene was doing alright without him playing shit tunes in a mouse mask?

'some dood mash the "play / stop" button and occaisionally move a pitch slider. Love it or hate it.... that's just been my conception of the traditional "dj".'

Doesnt show much respect for the DJ's who have created the scene..

If anything in music doesn't change or evolve it becomes boring.... Besides, since when did you have to go to see DJs to understand or enjoy dance music?

Nonetheless he does have a point. I know people locally who DJ in bars and clubs who do just that. Some of them are so lazy they just play mix CDs all night.... Certainly pisses me off that people like this get to play every week and are no good at it.

So what has he actually brought to the table ... everything he does has been done before, minus of course the lame pop culture cross over bringing people into the scene that probably arent wanted anyways (drink throwing students).

Theres huge numbers of artists who do it miles better than he does who arent cunts either (booka shade, chemical brothers, underworld, numerous psy acts .... the list goes on).

The deadmau5 hype will die a death just as fast as electro did.

I seen him play at digital and i thought his set was a little boring thats my opinion. You can bang on as much as you like about how shit & cheesey he is but at the end of the day the kids doing what he loves and getting paid alot of money to do it which if it was me i'd say "fuck the lot of you's" and there is no getting away from it Faxing Berlin was a quality track and his remix of Morgan Page was quality too.

i walk past the Academy after work every night (around 600/630) - that night there was hundereds of people queuing round the block and my only thought looking at them was "they look like a right bunch of mongs, i bet they like throwing beer"
