I support neither Sunderland or Newcastle, so don't have any biased opinions. I can have a good night in either. I prefer the bars in Sunderland because there isn't a designated area where a certain type of person goes (Bigg Market - piss heads/charvas, Quayside - stuck up Prada lovers etc). Seems much more relaxed.

The nightclubs are shite in Sunderland though. Was impressed by the layout and decor of Liquid, but it seems as it's another typical Ultimate "Spend all you money whilst listening to 50 Cent" Leisure venture. Pzazz is alright sometimes. Like the diner Annibals (sp?) was ok. Cheesy trance/dance, but ok. Too many underage slappers/Ben Sherminators for my liking though. New Monkey is an experiance. Have to change my hairstyle and whip on me old PE tracksuit bottoms and England top so I don't stand out. No drink so the focus is on other things. Lets say they only search for weapons, thus making it extremely cheap.

iv been a couple of times, its not that good. if u like the music and that then yeah maybes.

I live in Sunderland and anyone who says the bars in Sunderland are better than in Newcastle needs to go for a long walk and shake there head to say there is no competition is an understatement !!!!!
