it just shows how well Promise is doing - improving all the time while it seems everyone else is on the decline! Fuck, imagine how gutted you'd be if Promise closed! We'd have to go to ...IKON!

Can we have a festival please Mark, that sounded like a great idea of yours!?

agree, that oakie resident cd is a must have, i love it

as for the general picture, i think that clubbin is just goin through phases. it started in the underground, wiv illegal raves and the likes, then superclubs took over the market. however, the underground kept goin, and now the superclub 'phase' is slowly dying, the underground scene gets bigger as we're turning to it cos its gettin better. places like promise r incorporatin the underground feel wiv the big room djs. its wot we all want really. clubbin is, (and has been 4 a couple of yrs now), improving i think, and is gonna go on gettin better cos of clubs like promise, garlands etc. am glad im part of it to be honest.

Doesn't suprise me either, super clubs like Cream, MOS, GK, Crasher have flooded the dance market with CD's, festivals, special nights, merchandise etc, the market has become far to saturated. Thats why Promise is special, when you become to big for your own boots you find they dont do a shoe size for you anymore. As soon as a club goes commercial thats when it starts to die. People also move on, people start to get fed up with going to the same place each week. I saw Promise should always stay as it is, but everything always comes to an end!

just seems to me that as soon as a club tries to make its name bigger by havin nights abroad and festivals etc...the actual original club nite suffers...tis a case of clubs gettin to big for thier boots!!

who goes next though me wonders?

Slinky went through a stage of having nights all over the place, but seems to have calmed down a bit recently. Same goes for Moneypennys.

    Same old story !
As with Crasher, you CANT run massive events for 10,000+ people every month and also expect a crowd to your weekly gig too!

Make a choice - events or weekly club, NOT BOTH!

    :D :D :D

Yeah they say they are having a 30 day review period to see what they want to do. Probably just go monthly like gatecrasher I reckon.
