fair enough its a joke shop but just look on these internet site for jobs to avoid spending to much time there , and when u sign on , just walk in , sit down , ignore the nuggets , and walk out reliesing life isnt that bad cos your tracky bottoms arnt tucked in your socks and you dont speak in a unisisary tone of voice. Nout worse than pressing the buttons scum have pressed , but isnt that tarring every1 else with the same brush also ????? :)

I'm signing on for 3 weeks until I start my new job. It's only 180quid but I'll be losing about a grand by not working for those 3weeks. I just cant afford it and thats what its there for. A temporary income inbetween jobs. Although some people in this country take it was a wage permanently.

I've applied for loads, but even when a lot of the ads say no experience necessary, they seem to ask you if you have any anyway. I'm really wanting to do something that will be transferable for when I go to uni. If I get some bar/waiter experience now, I figure it will make things easier for when I move away from home. It doesn't help that I was on JSA for 12 weeks doing a full time course with the Princes Trust either.. cos now that counts as being out of a job for long enough to qualify for a gateway to work course which is the equivalent of 13 weeks of torture. I'm thinking now that maybe i should have given that pyramid scheme a try lol

We deal with the jobcentre on a daily basis and it really suprises me how some of the staff and especially the managers have jobs at all. Its like banging your head against a brick wall with some of them !!

The cunt who does my claim just phoned me accusing me of lying.. apparently someone phones the bar I'm starting at tonight and they have no record of me ever being there. Gonna phone them now and see what the crack is.

All i'd say is that i'd like to bet the government or whoever will be doing database checks against benefit claimants against employers paying tax and national insurance for people with the same names.

If anything, it would be harder tracing someone claiming JSA and doing cash in hand jobs, than it is running things on computers...... Which is probably why they have television adverts encouraging people to shop their own neighbours since they probably cant find out themselves.

If your planning on committing easily traceable fraud, then i wouldn't bother for your own sake.

Well the Jobcentre know about this job now so they'll be automatically making the adjustments to my claim. I'm no gonna be £30 down each week now which is dire :(

I've heard of people working 16 hours a week but still being put on the 13 week 'back to work' course though which I think is diabolical. Unless you look like someone who isn't gonna be able to get another job, or has a long history of getting sacked, I think it should be up to the individual whether or not they go on a course. Nothing positive is going to come from learning the most basic things if you have a decent set of qualifications and have never been sacked.

'What is a CV' 'What do these words mean' 'How can you look for jobs'

    ffs.

    Fucking hate the credit crunch.

I'm going from my personal experiences. It's like getting blood out of a stone the majority of the time, and if you ask them a valid question, they'll often answer you with something totally unrelated.

Oh, and as for posting on a public forum.. I hardly think the tax man is gonna come knocking at my door because of my nucastle.co.uk thread

The jobcentre knows about this job now anyway so it's a moot point.
