robert is a total waste of space, why does he always try to score from a corner, they are blatent shots not crosses

i personally think playing without shearer may give us some more edge up front, bellamy and kluivert next game imo

We weren't that bad actually. Bramble did really well, so did Bernard. They were just really really hard to break down. Nothing was getting past Cudicini either. As soon as he came on, you just knew Gudjohnsen would score tho. If we can play like that all the time, we'd win more than we lose.

The simple fact is were not good enough !

Chelsea have better players in every department, they beat us regardless of who played ok and who impressed - if they were that fucking good on the day we'd of won.

    Rant over.

I quite enjoyed the match. More interesting than the last one :p Except I froze my butt off!! :(

In my very poor football opinion, I think Newcastle played really well and Chelsea just defended for the vast majority of the game. But at the end of the day, they are a better team and everyone knows it. Never mind lads  :)

Some of the chants aswell  ;)

Did you see the Fulham game??
Bowyer couldn't cross for toffee. Robert came on and we won about 6 consecutive corners, every one of them dangerous. There's just no finishing.
I'll admit Roberts touch was a bit wayward lastnight but he was still on target 3 times.
Kluivert was gash. Bone fucking idle. He's too much of a luxury player. We ought to be giving Ameobi more of a run out.
I reckon Kluivert's better placed just behind the front 2 cos he plays some magic little touches to put other people in. He doesn't make a very good target man.

    Roll on Sunday!!

Okay.. so.. I'm pissed off about last night.

We were pretty good for spells. Good enough to win, had we been playing a lesser team. The final touch wasn't there, but against Chelsea that's always going to be a struggle.

There is no shame in losing to Chelsea.

Unless you lose all your confidence, passion, commitment, fight, etc, which is exactly what we did last night. Once the first goal went in it was schoolboy errors time and time again, just like the Fulham game. We played with no belief and from the moment they scored, we were never ever going to get back in it. We bottled it.

Yet again it emphasises what we can all see - picking the team to accommodate Shearer, Kluivert and Bellamy DOES NOT WORK. Graeme son, please, perm 2 from 3 and try again.

Unfortunately, Arjen Robben is a genius. That can't be helped.

And I feel sick at the thought of facing Man U.
