Hannah, ive read some of the other posts and kept out of them, its not my business and I'm not about to have a go, but i think djing, or more to the point music, is something that you can get in to and let it help you forget about your troubles.

In my opinion its all about the choice you make at the time, not about whats cool to listen to, alot of people dont get this at all. I was an all or nothing kinda listener a long time ago, and I think if you investigated a few different genres, I think music could help you through your times.

So my point is, dont dismiss something that can help you, and certainly dont flog something off so easily when theres people out there, including myself (a dj of 13 years) that would jump at the chance of opportunities you've had so far.

hope you get where im coming from with this ;)

I get where you're coming from, but I get guilt tripped because of DJing ... ie how the fuck can you be depressed, you're a DJ etc! Ive been involved with music my whole life, convertining to a different genre isnt going to solve my problems

it would be silly to just convert to another genre, and thats not what i said.

but surely theres room for more than one? ;)

i dunno what you play, but if you play hard house most of it is gash these days, its making me feel depressed listening to it lol.

finding a new genre might not help you, but if u spin hard house.. it will be an ideal time to change! :D
