Not a bad offer on at the moment : http://packages.sky.com/packs/join.aspx

Free sky+ box, plus £25 tesco voucher, free calls, UPTO 2mb broadband for £16.50 a month (BT landline required) so about £27 in total.

    depends what u want.

Personally, virgin aren't a problem for me - i prefer the 'always on' cable broadband feed, much more stable plus with the call package it's cheap as owt.

350k from torrents at 8mb is less than half of what you should be getting so you could technically ask for more

And Proudy Patel, I pay around £45 for tv (multiroom sky+), broadband max with (works at 8mb) unlimited and no shitty download caps like virgin and never any downtime (again like virgin) and phone package which gives me 24/7 free calls including International which I hammer like crazy.

I've had it over 2 years so will call them up for a reduction pretending i'm going to virgin (even though I owe them £500 from a bill they claim I owe them but don't bother to ask me for it).

it's ADSL though - it's UPTO 8mb because of BT's old and crappy copper wires

Yeh it is, think it's gunna be a lot cheaper with all 3 services tbh, cant grumble for £21.

Ah well, this phone call should be interesting...

Not 100%, I know I havent been charged, they told me I need to give 30 days notice & id receive my last months bill in July... but I'll owe nothing technically as you always pay a month in advance with Virgin so im in credit.

Looks like i'll be sticking with them tbh... grim but id rather pay £9 less a month but get my phone line & TV all with the same provider rather than paying over the odds with 2 seperate companies.

I'm pretty sure they can only charge you if you want to cancel just because you want too.

If they have fucked you about etc then kick up a fuss.

They will still offer you discount even if you are in your 12 month contract and can charge you as the person you speak to in retentions will not want to disconnect you as it affects their bonus and performance....

Throttling is fucking shit and is effectively a daily cap.

Plus if you tell them you're moving house they should be ok about cancelling, just tell them you wont have phone and internet for several months as you won't be around due to work commitments blabla and they should let you off.

big tip - don't sign up to any broadband that has a cap of 30gb or lower.

You can download more than that with a 56k dialup modem if you left it on all day and all night for a month ;)

£25 per month for the internet package, £5 extra charge due to not paying by DD.

I seem to be getting my eyes pulled out as im only using the 1 package, just been on the Virgin site there & some of the deals are pretty good if you take all 3 services.

    Probably gunna take:

    Size L
Up to 10Mb fibre optic broadband

    Size M
    Over 45 digital TV channels

    Size M
    Unlimited weekend UK landline calls

    = £14pm with an £11 phone line.

    Bonza!

Just got a mint deal with Virgin, after I rang them to tell them I was moving this weekend and going with Sky.

V+ box (HD), with sky sports, sky movies and XL TV package, ESPN is free if they get it, 2 extra boxes the same channels in our room and the young'ns room

    Unlimited calls to landlines 24/7

    10 meg broadband

all the above for £65 per month, plus free installation and dont need to pay for the V+ box

My original deal with sky was Sky + all tv channels minus sports and movies, 2 meg broadband and sky line rental with sky talk for £65 per month

I think we have got a mint deal!!!

Not sure, but the best way to find out is to use the line checker on the O2 website which will tell you if your able to get their service.
