I'd say out the last five games... wwwww was a bit more in form than wwdww loving the mackems getting man city smug syndrome.. although our run in is: west brom coventry sheff wed southampton sunderland palace birmingham QPR leicester which is worrying seeing as we've only beaten one of those teams this season.. having said that, we started out with no first team, all our quality players gone and no cash mountain to spend.. unlike some teams I can think of...
Aside from Preston though in this run you have played noone that really should give you any problems, whereas we have just taken 7 points from 3 games against the teams in 1st, 2nd and 3rd places. We are unbeaten in 2007 and have taken 26 points from the last 30, why shouldnt we be confident?? Credit where its due though, if yous do go up I can see you's staying there. After all, Mccarthy has always done well in the Premier.................
Winning games doesnt mean that your in great form. It just means that your winning games. Look at Man Utd, totally played off the park in their last 2 league games by Fulham & Liverpool but they picked up 6 points. The other two games they've played they only just beat Lille and Reading without playing any kind of decent football. They are playing terrible and totally out of form.....but they are winning games.
That is just typical of a fan whose team are struggling at the foot of the table You would never really say a team who are getting beat every week are 'in form' no matter how well they play. Its all about winning games at the end of the day. The form table goes off results, as no matter who has played the better football that is what really counts at the end of the season.
there was a few slip ups last night, we were lucky to get a point. brum and derby both dropped points, i think preston were the only team to win in the top 10. i can see this season going right to the last day
Interesting article.. I agree with a lot of the comments too, we have been hanging on by the seat of our pants so far every game has been a nail biter, but we're doing ok all things considered...
